Lessons

Music is a language, and like any language, your vocabulary is your best tool in expressing yourself. I take a vocabulary focused approach with my students - building their individual “musical dictionaries” so that they can tell their own stories with their instrument.

Lessons I offer:

  • As my primary instrument, the drum set is my main tool for musical expression. I teach a variety of styles including: rock, pop, jazz, metal, fusion, funk, Latin, and experimental.

  • As a classically trained concert percussionist, I can teach you snare drum, timpani, 2 & 4 mallet percussion, orchestral accessories, and more.

  • Whether you’re in the drum line or front ensemble, I’ll help you develop the necessary chops, precision, and flow for your upcoming marching season.

  • Whether you’re just getting into production, or you need help taking your project to the next phase, I can teach you how to record, produce, mix, and master your own music.

  • In addition to instrumental lessons, I also offer music theory tutoring. I can help with music literacy, composition, ear training, AP exam prep, and more.

Pricing:

My asking rates are $35/half hour, or $65/hour. Your first lesson is free.

My prices are negotiable for students and families unable to afford the above prices. If you are interested in taking lessons, please reach out and we can find a rate that works for you.

I offer in-person lessons and remote lessons at the same rate.
